bodhisattva awareness
an exploration of recognition - compassion - and the dissolution of separation within awareness
a bodhisattva is a being who moves with awareness not only for themselves – but for all living beings
even when close to what buddhism calls buddhahood – they pause at the threshold – carrying a vow:
“i will not enter final peace until every being can find their way there too”
a bodhisattva embodies wisdom – patience – kindness – and courage
they meet suffering with presence and response – through action – attention – and the shaping of conditions in which suffering can be transformed
rather than stepping out of the world – they remain within it – participating in its ongoing transformation
a bodhisattva is a way of being in which awareness is no longer isolated – but shared
in this sense – it is a recognition of awareness moving with all beings – rather than apart from them
a bodhisattva is a dedication of awareness to the liberation and wellbeing of all beings – a vow that may be taken individually or within a ceremony
